Driving Project Success

As the Project Coordinator, you will support and assist Program and/or Project Managers, with delivering the objectives of a project(s) as defined by the Project Sponsor. Led by the Director, EPMO, this position will best suit someone who has a strong understanding of project management and excellent people skills.

Ready to make an impact? Here’s how:

  • Organize, attend and facilitate meetings where appropriate; prepare and distribute project reports and meeting minutes to all project team members.
  • Supporting the PgM/PM, work with the project team to provide project management support in the development, and scheduling of the project plans. Ensure project team adheres to provided timelines and deliverables.
  • Understand the approved project budget, provide support for invoice processing (reconciliation), and support the PM with financial analysis and reporting (e.g., accruals, forecasting).
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Communicate plans, actions, risks and issues with key stakeholders. Support PM with project reporting (e.g., steering committee, status reporting) - updating project milestones and adjustment to schedules.
  • Support the follow-up for issue resolutions related to technical, business and people in a timely fashion.
  • Provide back-up support to PgM/PM as needed (e.g., meeting facilitation, reporting, etc.)

We’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree with PMP or PRINCE2 designation and 3-5 years of experience.
  • Proven experience with waterfall, iterative waterfall, and agile scrum project execution would be an asset.
  • Excellent understanding of project management methodology, including planning, estimating, executing and controlling.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on quality. Creative thinker with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Excellent people skills and written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities. Ability to be flexible and adaptable while operating independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to balance risk, cost and benefit.
  • Customer service orientation required.
  • The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
