Job summary

Kids & Company is seeking On-Call Supply Educators (Level 1, 2, or 3) to support our Central Edmonton location. You will cover planned and unplanned staff absences across age groups, offering flexible, casual hours and opportunities for development.

Ideal candidates are compassionate with strong communication and organizational skills, able to adapt to different classrooms and schedules. Alberta ECE certification and CPR/First Aid are required, with prior childcare experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification required.
• Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
• Valid Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR certification.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Previous childcare experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and record keeping.
• Implement engaging and developmentally appropriate programming based on children's interests and needs.
• Support children's emotional, physical, social, and cognitive development.
• Conduct attendance tracking and health and safety checks.
• Collaborate with families and external professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists, as required.
• Support children through daily routines and transitions.
• Ensure compliance with Alberta licensing regulations and maintain required educator-to-child ratios.
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms, age groups, and centre needs.
• Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and workshops when required.Foster a positive, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.

As an On-Call Supply Educator, you will provide coverage for planned and unplanned staff absences and may work with various age groups within the centre. This role offers flexibility and is ideal for educators seeking casual or supplemental hours.
