Job summary

Kids & Company in Ottawa, ON is seeking an on-call supply RECE for our Albert location to support early learners with a warm, inclusive environment. The role emphasizes documentation, safety, and collaboration with specialists to foster growth and well-being.

Ideal candidates are registered with the College of ECE, in good standing, and hold current First Aid/CPR Level C certification, immunization records, and a clear vulnerable sector check. Lifting up to 45 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Registered with the College of ECE and in good standing.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C.
• Up-to-date immunization records and two-step TB test.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation, reporting, and record keeping.
• Implement an Emergent Curriculum.
• Support children's emotional, physical, and behavioral well-being while fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
• Maintain attendance and health and safety checks.
• Collaborate with professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists.
• Support children through classroom transitions.
• Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in CCEYA.
• Participate in team meetings and workshops.
