Job summary

Kids & Company is seeking a compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our expanding network of over 120 childcares across Canada. You will foster development across social, emotional, cognitive and physical domains while delivering nurturing classroom support.

Responsibilities include documentation, emergent curriculum, wellbeing support, health checks, and collaboration with therapists and fellow educators. We offer robust benefits, growth opportunities, and generous child care perks.

Qualifications

• ECE certification required.
• Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR Level B required.

• Support children’s emotional, physical, or behavioural well being; while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills.
• Maintain attendance, and health and safety checks.
• Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary.
• Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms.
• Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops.

Specifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents and co-workers.
• Ability to utilize computer systems for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
• Strong collaborator and team player
• Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom
• Strong problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• ECE certified (Level 2 or 3)

• Valid Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR Level B
• Ability to push, pull and lift up- to 45 pounds
