Kids & Company in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is seeking On-Call Supply Early Childhood Educators to join our team. Qualifications

• Nova Scotia ECE license is required.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
• Immunizations including a 2-step TB test.
• Standard First Aid and CPR Certification (Level B or C) is required.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 45 lbs.
• Flexibility to accept shifts on short notice and vary schedules, as needed.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and supervision to children in accordance with Kids & Company's standards and curriculum.
• Support the implementation of an Emergent Curriculum that fosters children's growth and development.
• Maintain daily documentation, reporting, and attendance records as required.
• Support children's emotional, cognitive, physical, and social development.
• Collaborate with classroom teams and external professionals when required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including staff-to-child ratios.
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms, age groups, and center needs.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and classroom transitions.

Please note: At this time, we are only hiring On-Call Supply ECEs at our Dartmouth location. Hours are not guaranteed and will be scheduled based on operational needs and staff absences.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and supervision to children in accordance with Kids & Company's standards and curriculum

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including maintaining required staff-to-child ratios
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms, age groups, and center needs
• Participate positively in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and classroom transitions

Qualifications

• Valid Nova Scotia ECE License
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
• Up-to-date immunizations, including a 2-step TB test
