Job summary

Kids & Company is seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our Calgary team. You will support children's development through emergent curricula, monitor health and safety, and collaborate with therapists and instructors to nurture social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Applicants must be ECE certified (Level 2 or 3), have a clear Criminal Record Check, valid First Aid/CPR Level B, and the ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

Qualifications

• ECE certified (Level 2 or 3).
• Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Valid Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR Level B.
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation, reporting and record keeping.
• Implement an Emergent Curriculum.
• Support children’s emotional, physical, or behavioural well-being; develop social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills.
• Maintain attendance, and health and safety checks.
• Collaborate with professionals (Speech/Occupational/Interventionists) as needed.
• Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms.
• Meet all classroom ratios as outlined.
• Participate in team meetings and workshops.

Specifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents and co-workers.
• Ability to utilize computer systems for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
