Job summary

Kids & Company in Canada seeks a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to deliver an emergent curriculum and support each child’s development within a nurturing classroom.

You will maintain daily records, collaborate with external professionals when needed, and ensure health and safety compliance while participating in ongoing professional development within a rapidly expanding organization.

Qualifications

• Valid Nova Scotia ECE license and certification.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
• Standard First Aid and CPR Level B or C certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an Emergent Curriculum tailored to each child’s development and learning journey.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation, progress reports, and attendance records.
• Support children’s emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioural development in a nurturing environment.
• Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists or Occupational Therapists when required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including classroom ratios.
• Actively participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and classroom transitions.
