Job summary

Kids & Company is seeking an early childhood education professional to join our team in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia. You will deliver an emergent curriculum, document student progress, and support children’s development in a nurturing environment.

Requirements include a Nova Scotia ECE license, Vulnerable Sector and Child Abuse Registry checks, and Standard First Aid/CPR (Level B or C). The role offers a supportive, inclusive workplace with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Nova Scotia ECE License is required.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check are required.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR Certification (Level B or C) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an Emergent Curriculum that supports each child’s unique development and learning journey.
  • Maintain accurate daily documentation, progress reports, and attendance records.
  • Support children’s emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioural development in a nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate with external professionals such as Speech-Language Pathologists or Occupational Therapists when required.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including classroom ratios.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and classroom transitions.

Key Responsibilities
