Kids & Company in Hammonds Plains, NS is seeking dedicated early childhood educators to deliver emergent curriculum and support children's development in a nurturing environment.

You will document progress, work with external specialists, ensure health and safety compliance, and participate in professional development, with generous benefits and career growth within Canada’s growing childcare provider.

Qualifications

• Nova Scotia ECE License is required.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
• Clear Child Abuse Registry Check is required.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certification (Level B or C).
• Ability to safely push, pull, or lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an Emergent Curriculum that supports each child’s unique development and learning journey.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation, progress reports, and attendance records.
• Support children’s emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioural development in a nurturing environment.
• Collaborate with external professionals such as Speech-Language Pathologists or Occupational Therapists when required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including classroom ratios.
• Actively participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and classroom transitions.
