Job summary

BrightPath Kids is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to work with children ages 3-5 in a full-time role. The position emphasizes a home-like learning environment and collaboration with families to support child development.

You will implement BrightPath’s curriculum, ensure child well-being, and participate in staff meetings and development activities. A strong focus is placed on health, safety, and teamwork within a diverse community.

Qualifications

• First Aid certification current
• Infant CPR current
• Meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Immunization and health assessment per local Health requirements

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a program aligned with BrightPath curriculum
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
• Assess children’s abilities and discuss progress with parents/ staff
• Collaborate with co-workers, management and families
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities
• Assist with maintaining classroom cleanliness and organization
• Perform other duties as assigned

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children ages 3-5 years old in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath's curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
