Job summary

BrightPath Kids is seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our Lawrence Avenue center in BC. You will work closely with teachers and families to create a home-like environment for children aged 3–5, delivering BrightPath curriculum and ensuring child well-being.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Educator Certificate is required.
• Must meet province childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR are required.
• Immunization and health assessment per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, clean classroom environment.
• Assess child development and discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Foster collaborative relationships with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as needed.
• Support classroom organization and material maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children ages 3-5 years old in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
