Job summary

Kids & Company is seeking on-call supply Early Childhood Educators for Hatchet Lake and Tantallon locations to support children’s growth in a nurturing environment.

You will work within an emergent curriculum, uphold health and safety standards, and collaborate with families and professionals. Nova Scotia ECE licensure and clear checks are required, with ongoing opportunities in a rapidly growing organization.

Qualifications

• Requires Nova Scotia ECE license.
• Must have Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
• Must have Standard First Aid and CPR (Level B or C).
• Ability to safely push, pull, or lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an Emergent Curriculum that supports each child’s unique development and learning journey.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation, progress reports, and attendance records.
• Support children’s emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioural development in a nurturing environment.
• Collaborate with external professionals such as Speech-Language Pathologists or Occupational Therapists when required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including classroom ratios.
• Actively participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and classroom transitions.
