Job summary

Kids & Company in Nova Scotia is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to support children’s development through an emergent curriculum. You will document progress, manage records, and collaborate with specialists to promote holistic growth.

The role requires a valid NS ECE license, clear checks, First Aid/CPR, and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs. We offer comprehensive benefits, a pension, childcare discounts, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Nova Scotia ECE license required.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check required.
• Standard First Aid and CPR Certification (Level B or C) required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an Emergent Curriculum that supports each child’s development.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation, progress reports, and attendance records.
• Support children’s emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioural development in a nurturing environment.
• Collaborate with external professionals such as Speech-Language Pathologists or Occupational Therapists when required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including classroom ratios.
• Actively participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and classroom transitions.
