Qualifications

• Nova Scotia Early Childhood Education license is required.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
• First Aid and CPR Certification (Level B or C) is required.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an emergent curriculum tailored to each child’s development.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation including progress reports and attendance.
• Support children's emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioural development in a nurturing environment.
• Collaborate with external professionals as needed (e.g., Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists).
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations including classroom ratios.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and classroom transitions.

What You'll Do

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including classroom ratios
• Participate actively in team meetings, professional development workshops, and classroom transitions

What You Bring

• Valid Nova Scotia ECE License
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification (Level B or C)
• Ability to safely lift, push, or pull up to 45 lbs
