Kids & Company is seeking dedicated early learning educators in Halifax to inspire young minds and support children as they grow, learn, and thrive. You will deliver an emergent curriculum, maintain daily progress records, and collaborate with therapists to support development in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Nova Scotia ECE license and be in good standing.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check are required.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification (Level B or C) is required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an emergent curriculum tailored to each child’s development.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation including progress reports and attendance.
• Support children’s emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioural development.
• Collaborate with external professionals as needed.
• Ensure health, safety, and licensing regulations compliance, including classroom ratios.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver an emergent curriculum tailored to each child’s unique development and learning journey
• Maintain accurate daily documentation, including progress reports and attendance records
• Support children’s emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioural development in a nurturing environment
• Collaborate with external professionals (e.g., Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists) as needed
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including classroom ratios
• Participate actively in team meetings, professional development workshops, and classroom transitions

What You Bring

• Valid Nova Scotia ECE License
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification (Level B or C)
• Ability to safely lift, push, or pull up to 45 lbs
