Qualifications

• Nova Scotia ECE license is required.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
• Up-to-date immunizations, including a 2-step TB test.
• Standard First Aid and CPR Certification (Level B or C).
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 45 lbs.
• Flexibility to accept shifts on short notice and varying schedules.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and supervision to children.
• Support the Emergent Curriculum to foster growth and development.
• Maintain daily documentation, reporting, and attendance records.
• Support children's emotional, cognitive, physical, and social development.
• Collaborate with classroom teams and external professionals when required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms, age groups, and center needs.

Please note: At this time, we are only hiring On-Call Supply ECEs at our Dartmouth location. Hours are not guaranteed and will be scheduled based on operational needs and staff absences.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and supervision to children in accordance with Kids & Company's standards and curriculum
• Support the implementation of an Emergent Curriculum that fosters children's growth and development
• Maintain daily documentation, reporting, and attendance records as required
• Support children's emotional, cognitive, physical, and social development
• Collaborate with classroom teams and external professionals, such as Speech or Occupational Therapists, when required
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including maintaining required staff-to-child ratios
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms, age groups, and center needs
• Participate positively in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and classroom transitions

Qualifications

• Valid Nova Scotia ECE License
