What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC’s Digital Analytics and Integration team, reporting to the Director, the Consultant, Digital Analytics & Integration is responsible for contributing to projects that impact the business through in-depth research analysis, interpretation, documentation, and advice on moderately complex business information. The Consultant will be a subject matter expert on process improvements, leading the technical development to deliver high-quality processes and procedures while ensuring compliance with CIBC requirements, standards, work practices, processes, security standards, and policies. The role involves using independent judgment to guide project teams, applying a comprehensive understanding of the area of specialization to a wide range of business and technical situations while analyzing business performance. The role also supports risk management and cost optimization projects, contributing to successful audit and ongoing monitoring.

How you'll succeed
  1. Understanding and Documenting Requirements: Collaborate with business partners to gather complex requirements and facilitate solution design discussions, ensuring project needs are met. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen actively, and ask insightful questions.
  2. Solution Design: Develop client-focused solutions that meet business needs. Prepare and validate solution design documents, support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and guide diverse teams. Maintain a collaborative environment and assist team members with organizational, operational, and process issues.
  3. Organization: Manage requests from stakeholders and create or edit various presentation and communication materials, including key messages, communication plans, and tactical deliverables.
  4. Communication: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to convey detailed and conceptual information effectively.
  5. Production Support: Investigate issues raised by the business and provide resolutions, collaborating with developers as needed.
Who you are
  • Education and Experience: Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions. Experience with Agile methodologies and application/architecture development is a plus.
  • Financial Knowledge: Understanding of financial markets, including stocks, options, fixed income, and mutual funds. Knowledge of financial product concepts and calculations such as bond amortization, accrued income, and yields.
  • Data Skills: Ability to interpret complex data, communicate detailed information effectively, and experience with Adobe/Google Analytics, SQL, Azure DevOps, Quality Assurance, and advanced Excel skills.
