Job summary

Mississauga Convention Centre is seeking an enthusiastic Event Coordinator / Junior Sales Representative to join our team, coordinating events, building client relationships and driving bookings. You will handle inquiries, tours, quotes, contracts, and planning details, while delivering stellar customer service from initial contact to event day.

The role blends events with sales, offering growth in hospitality.

Responsibilities

Respond to event inquiries by phone, email, and in person in a timely and professional manner.
Conduct venue tours and explain event spaces, packages, services, and offerings.
Generate new sales leads and follow up with prospective clients.
Prepare and send quotes, proposals, contracts, and event information.
Build and maintain strong client relationships from initial inquiry through the event date.
Assist clients with event planning, including room setup, timelines, catering, décor, entertainment, and other requirements.
Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth event execution.
Prepare and maintain event schedules, function sheets, client notes, and booking information.
Identify opportunities to upsell venue services, packages, and additional products.
Follow up with clients after events to encourage repeat business and referrals.
