Job summary

Emterra Group in Bracebridge, Ontario is seeking a DZ driver to support our waste collection operations. You will operate a recycling collection vehicle, load materials, perform pre/post trip inspections, and uphold safety standards while delivering reliable curbside service.

Ideal candidates have a valid Ontario DZ license with a clean CVOR, at least one year of DZ driving experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and will pass drug testing and a background check.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario DZ driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract and CVOR.
• Minimum one year experience driving with DZ licence or AZ MELT graduate.
• As this is a safety-sensitive position, completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate recycling collection vehicle.
• Load curbside materials into the truck.
• Observe safe work practices.
• Provide excellent customer service per company policies.
• Ensure routes are completed safely and on schedule.
• Conduct pre and post trip inspections and complete DVIRs.

Job Duties

• Operate recycling collection vehicle;
• Load curbside materials into the truck;
• Observe safe work practices;
• Provide excellent customer service in accordance with company policies;
• Ensure assigned routes are successfully completed in a timely and safe manner;
• Conduct pre and post trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

Requirements

• Valid Ontario DZ driver’s licence with a clean drivers abstract and CVOR;
• Minimum one year experience driving with DZ licence OR an AZ MELT graduate from an accredited driving school;
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
• As this is a safety-sensitive position, successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required
• Successful completion of a criminal background check
• Punctual, reliable, team player.
