Job summary

Artemis Gold is hiring a Drill and Blast Engineer for the Blackwater Mine Site in British Columbia. You will design, plan, and optimize drilling and blasting to ensure safe, productive, and cost‑effective operations, working closely with the Short-Range Planner.

Responsibilities include 4‑week drill and blast plans, QA/QC field checks, safe blast execution, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requires a Bachelors in Mine/Civil Engineering, 3–5 years in mining, and Deswik experience; two‑week

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mine or Civil Engineering required.
• 3–5 years of mine operations/engineering experience required.
• Eligible to register as E.I.T.; P.Eng is desirable.
• Proficiency with Deswik and open pit survey methods.
• Strong MS Office and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and planning of drill and blast patterns, loading and timing.
• Deliver 4-week drill and blast plans and mid-range bench plans.
• Support QA/QC with field drilling accuracy and blast execution.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance on site.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in blasting and planning.
