Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for finance and administration? We are seeking a District Clerk to provide accounting, payroll, timekeeping, and administrative support for Operations District #4.

In this role, you will help ensure accurate financial and payroll processes, support district staff, and contribute to the efficient operation of a busy office serving northern Manitoba.

Duties
  • Process invoices, payroll, and timekeeping records.
  • Maintain financial records and prepare reports.
  • Provide payroll and administrative support to staff.
  • Maintain accurate filing and records systems.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support efficient district office operations.
Qualifications
Essential
  • Experience providing clerical and administrative support in an office environment.
  • Experience supporting payroll, timekeeping, and financial administration.
  • Experience providing customer service and responding to inquiries in an office environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced office environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Effective written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook or compatible software applications.
Desired
  • Experience using SAP or compatible financial or accounting system.
  • Completion of a post‑secondary program in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Conditions of Employment
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check or Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, may be required for certain positions
  • Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check and / or Adult Abuse Registry Check, may be required for certain positions
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5F Driver’s Licence, may be required for certain positions
  • Must have access to a vehicle and the ability to travel throughout Manitoba, may be required for certain positions
