About the Role:

We are seeking a driven and experienced Dispatcher to coordinate the daily operations of our fleet and drivers, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, effective scheduling, and reliable collection and delivery services. This role oversees key fleet functions, including route planning, driver training, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The Dispatcher will coordinate daily logistics activities, support and coach drivers, maintain efficient fleet operations, and ensure collection and delivery processes are executed safely, effectively, and in alignment with company policies and operational standards.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • This position requires open availability, including weekends, holidays, and closing shifts, with flexibility to support business needs.
  • Starting Salary: $50k/ annually, plus applicable performance incentives.

Location: North York, ON

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Daily Fleet Operations – Plan and manage daily driver schedules and routes to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective operations.
  • Optimize Routes & Productivity – Create and adjust routes using route-planning technology to improve efficiency, reduce travel time, and maximize fleet productivity.
  • Lead Driver Scheduling – Schedule and coordinate a fleet of 20+ drivers, ensuring appropriate coverage and smooth daily operations.
  • Support & Develop Drivers – Train, coach, and support drivers to meet performance expectations, follow company policies, and maintain high operating standards.
  • Oversee Fleet & Equipment – Monitor the condition of vehicles and operational equipment, coordinate timely repairs, and ensure company assets are properly maintained.
  • Manage Daily Logistics – Oversee transportation, collection, delivery, and other day-to-day logistics activities to ensure reliable service.
  • Ensure Compliance & Safety – Review required driver and vehicle documentation and ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards.
  • Monitor Fleet Performance – Review operational data and key metrics, including hours worked, idle time, speeding, harsh braking, and other fleet performance indicators.
  • Resolve Operational Issues – Provide timely support to drivers and address service concerns, incidents, accidents, and customer or partner complaints.
  • Maintain Accurate Reporting & Records – Reconcile operational data and ensure accurate and timely reporting through fleet management and business systems.

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Fleet Supervision, Dispatch, or a related logistics role.
  • Computer savvy with the ability to navigate systems and technology effectively.
  • Ability to delegate tasks efficiently while providing clear direction and accountability.
  • Ability to assess situations, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions that support operational goals.
  • Valid Class G Driver’s License.
