Job summary

Harmac Transportation is seeking a Driver Coordinator to manage driver schedules, dispatch loads, and ensure on-time deliveries in a fast-paced environment. You will act as the main contact for drivers, handling inquiries and maintaining clear communication with customers.

The role requires post-secondary education in business or logistics or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years in transportation or logistics. Proficiency with TMW, ELD systems, and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business, logistics, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in transportation or logistics; dispatch experience is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of ELD and TMW is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain driver schedules with clear communication.
• Receive and verify customer orders in TMW and schedule loads efficiently.
• Dispatch loads to drivers with shift plans and route details.
• Confirm deliveries and escalate issues promptly to management.
• Be the go-to person for drivers, answering questions and resolving challenges.
• Monitor safety, incidents, and performance metrics to keep operations on track.
• Support operations by managing calls and providing real-time solutions.
• Collaborate with the operations team to keep loads, routes, and drivers on schedule.

What You’ll Do

• Confirm load deliveries, update systems, and escalte issues promptly to management.
• Be the go-to person for drivers—answering questions, resolving challenges, and ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Monitor safety, service incidents, and performance metrics to keep operations on track.
• Support operations by managing calls and providing real-time solutions.
• Collaborate with the broader operations team to ensure every load, route, and driver stays on schedule.

What You Bring

• Post-secondary education in business, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in transportation or logistics; dispatch experience is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of ELD systems and TMW software is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills—you're the calm in the storm.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• A team-player attitude and a passion for problem-solving.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
