Job summary

McDougall Energy Inc. in Sarnia is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate deliveries and optimize route efficiency. You’ll work under the Operations Manager, directing drivers and ensuring timely, accurate service for customers.

The role requires solid dispatch and logistics experience, excellent communication, and strong organization. A DZ license and knowledge of TDG/WHMIS are assets.

Qualifications

• Dispatch and logistics experience with knowledge of Southwestern Ontario geography.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office familiarity.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service excellence and teamwork orientation.
• Knowledge of TDG, WHMIS and related regulations is an asset.
• DZ license is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and dispatch deliveries to maximize efficiency.
• Give routes and customer requirements directions to drivers.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager on repairs and truck maintenance.
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Interface with customers about delivery changes and requirements.
• Uphold health, safety policies and SOPs; follow industry regulations.
• Perform other office administration duties as required.

About The Opportunity

McDougall Energy is looking for a Dispatcher to join our Team in Sarnia. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for:

• Planning, organizing and dispatching all deliveries to maximize efficiencies and optimize equipment utilization
• Providing directions to drivers regarding routes and customer requirements
• Working with the Operations Manager and / or Lead Hands to troubleshoot repairs and truck maintenance
• Generating daily, weekly and monthly reporting as required
• Communicating and interfacing with customers regarding delivery requirements, changes to schedules and any other issues regarding their delivery
• Adhering to all company health and safety policies, standard operating procedures and established industry regulations
• Performing other office administration duties as required

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Dispatch and logistics experience along with geographical knowledge of Southwestern Ontario
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organization, time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Knowledge of TSSA, WHMIS & TDG requirements is considered an asset
• Working knowledge of the fuel and propane delivery industries’ practices and processes considered an asset
• DZ license considered an asset

• Pay: 33 Per Hour ($28.00 / Hour + $5.00 / Hour Continental Shift Premium)
