Job Description

Truck Dispatch Supervisor

The Truck Dispatch Supervisor supervises the dispatching of trucks to convey freight to assigned destinations in a timely and efficient manner. They track deliveries via computer systems and monitor communication lines to assist with complex or immediate questions.

The Dispatch Supervisor ensures the department maintains effective daily communication with drivers, continually monitoring service, making proactive adjustments to maximize on-time performance and productivity, and demonstrating effective use of dispatch routing software.

This position is responsible for on-time delivery of service and monthly reporting. The person manages dispatchers and handles supervisory duties. It is a hands-on role that involves both supervising and dispatching.
