Job Description

The Truck Dispatch Supervisor supervises the dispatching of trucks to convey freight to assigned destinations in a timely and efficient manner. Tracks deliveries via computer systems and monitors communication lines to assist with complex or immediate questions.

The Dispatch Supervisor ensures the department maintains effective daily communication with drivers, continually monitors service, makes proactive adjustments to maximize on-time performance and productivity, and demonstrates effective use of dispatch routing software.

This position is responsible for on-time delivery of service and monthly reporting. It involves managing dispatchers and handling supervisory duties. The role is hands-on, involving both supervising and dispatching.
