Job summary

Car­men’s Group is seeking a friendly, reliable dishwasher to join The Lakeview and support our Hamilton beachfront venues. This part-time, permanent role is ideal for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and values safety, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Based in Hamilton, you will wash, sanitize, and return dishes and kitchen tools, maintain clean stations, and assist with other kitchen duties as directed by the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive, dependable team player.
• Fast-paced environment; manage priorities under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing duties or workflow.
• Previous cleaning or dishwashing experience is an asset.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, utensils, kitchen tools, and food preparation equipment.
• Drying and returning cleaned items to their designated storage areas.
• Maintaining clean dish stations, kitchen floors, storage areas, surfaces, walls, and equipment.
• Sweeping, mopping, and assisting with garbage and recycling removal.
• Following food safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and cleanliness procedures.
• Reporting low supplies, damaged items, or equipment concerns to the Executive Chef.
• Communicating with the kitchen team to support smooth and safe operations.
• Taking direction from the Executive Chef and assisting with other kitchen duties as assigned.
