Job summary

Carmens Group, a Hamilton-born hospitality company, is seeking staff for part-time, permanent roles at Carmen’s Event Centre. You will transform event spaces, move décor and equipment, arrange seating and staging, assist with AV, and ensure spaces stay clean and guest-ready across busy event days.

Responsibilities

• Transform event spaces by arranging furniture and room layouts to match event plans, specifications, and client expectations.
• Move décor, furniture, supplies, and other event materials safely throughout the venue using carts, dollies, and related equipment.
• Arrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and event equipment according to guest numbers and floor plans.
• Support the event team with audiovisual equipment, extension cords, and basic lighting components as required.
• Ensure event spaces and back-of-house areas remain clean, organized, and ready before, during, and after each event.
• Break down event spaces efficiently after functions and reset the venue for what comes next.

Position Details:

Job Type: part-time, permanent

Compensation: $18.00 per hour + gratuities

What You Will Be Doing:

• Transform event spaces by arranging furniture and room layouts to match event plans, specifications, and client expectations.

• Break down event spaces efficiently after functions by removing décor, furniture, staging, and equipment and resetting the venue for what comes next.
