Carmens Group’s Lakeview venue in Hamilton is hiring a part-time, permanent dishwasher to join a high-volume kitchen team. You will wash, sanitize, and stock dishware while maintaining clean work areas and complying with safety standards.

The role offers minimum wage compensation and is ideal for reliable individuals with a flexible weekend schedule and transportation. Join a hospitality leader shaping Southern Ontario’s culinary scene.

• Previous cleaning or dishwashing experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen tools.
• Dry and return cleaned items to designated storage areas.
• Maintain clean dish stations, floors, and equipment.
• Sweep, mop, and assist with garbage and recycling removal.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures.
• Report low supplies or equipment concerns to the Executive Chef.
• Communicate with the kitchen team to support safe operations.
• Take direction from the Executive Chef and assist with other duties.

What you will be doing:

• Washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, utensils, kitchen tools, and food preparation equipment
• Drying and returning cleaned items to their designated storage areas
• Maintaining clean dish stations, kitchen floors, storage areas, surfaces, walls, and equipment
• Sweeping, mopping, and assisting with garbage and recycling removal
• Following food safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and cleanliness procedures
• Reporting low supplies, damaged items, or equipment concerns to the Executive Chef
• Communicating with the kitchen team to support smooth and safe operations
• Taking direction from the Executive Chef and assisting with other kitchen duties as assigned

Your Ingredients to Success

• Friendly, positive, and dependable team player
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing priorities under pressure
• Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
• Flexible and adaptable when duties or workflow needs change
• Previous cleaning or dishwashing experience is an asset
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Reliable transportation is required
• Flexible availability, including the ability to work weekend closing shifts
