Job summary

Lulu Bar is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to join its team in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, sanitary dish area and supporting kitchen operations, with opportunities for gratuities and benefits after threshold hours.

Compensation includes hourly wages between $17.00 and $18.00 per hour, gratuities, duty meals, and extended health benefits after 90 days for those working 28+ hours per week. Team-oriented atmosphere and employee discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• WHMIS and Food Safe certifications required or obtainable within 30 days.
• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours.
• Excellent English communication with team members and customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots/pans, and cooking equipment.
• Sort and load dirty dishware into racks to maximize machine capacity and reduce breakage.
• Operate dishwashing equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
• Unload dishware and store in designated areas.
• Maintain communication with all kitchen departments.
• Maintain highest hygiene and food safety standards.
• Keep dishwashing area clean at all times.
• Remain professional and positive.
• Assist in achieving department objectives.
• Perform other related ad-hoc duties as required.

Lulu Bar is looking for a Dishwasher to fill out their team on a part-time permanent basis. It is essential that you enjoy a fast-paced work environment and feel comfortable working both alone, and/or within a team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Ensure a clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots/pans, and cooking equipment is consistently available for kitchen and food service.
• Sort, stack, and load dirty dishware into dish racks in an organized manner to maximize machine capacity and reduce breakage.
• Operate dishwashing equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
• Unload dishware, distributing and storing in designated storage areas.
• Maintain ongoing communication with all departments affecting the kitchen.
• Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety is adhered to according to the restaurant’s standards.
• Ensure that the dishwashing area and equipment is always maintained at the highest level of cleanliness.
• Consistently conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner.
• Aid in maintaining department objectives and ensure they are met and exceeded.
• Perform other related ad-hoc duties as required.

WHAT YOU HAVE

• Strong organizational and time management skills required.
• Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers.
• WHMIS Certification is required but can be obtained once hired.
• Food Safe Certification is required but can be obtained within 30 days of being hired.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
• Ability to work in a standing position for duration of shift( up to 12 hours)
