Job summary

Concorde Entertainment Group seeks a part-time dishwashing associate for Double Zero, a fast-paced restaurant. You will maintain sanitation, load and operate dishwashing equipment, and help ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Ideal candidates will have strong English communication, the ability to stand for long periods, and be committed to hygiene and safety standards. WHMIS and Food Safe certifications can be obtained after hiring.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
• Fluent English communication with team members and customers.
• WHMIS certification is required but can be obtained after hire.
• Food Safe certification is required but can be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
• Sort, stack, and load dirty dishware to maximize machine capacity.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Unload and store dishware in designated areas.
• Communicate with all kitchen departments to support operations.
• Maintain highest level of hygiene and food safety per restaurant standards.
• Keep dishwashing area clean and organized at all times.
• Act professionally and positively; assist with department objectives and related duties.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Double Zero is looking for a Dishwasher to fill out their team on a part-time permanent basis. It is essential that you enjoy a fast-paced work environment and feel comfortable working both alone, and/or within a team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Ensure a clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots/pans, and cooking equipment is consistently available for kitchen and food service.
• Sort, stack, and load dirty dishware into dish racks in an organized manner to maximize machine capacity and reduce breakage.
• Operate dishwashing equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
• Unload dishware, distributing and storing in designated storage areas.
• Maintain ongoing communication with all departments affecting the kitchen.
• Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety is adhered to according to the restaurant’s standards.
• Ensure that the dishwashing area and equipment is always maintained at the highest level of cleanliness.
• Consistently conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner.
• Aid in maintaining department objectives and ensure they are met and exceeded.
• Perform other related ad-hoc duties as required.

WHAT YOU HAVE

• Strong organizational and time management skills required.
• Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers.
• WHMIS Certification is required but can be obtained once hired.
• Food Safe Certification is required but can be obtained within 30 days of being hired.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
