Job summary

Sky 360 at Calgary Tower is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join our busy team on a full-time permanent basis. You will maintain a clean, sanitized stock of dishes and assist kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates show strong organizational skills, can work well in a team, and have reliable English communication. WHMIS and Food Safe certifications are preferred but can be obtained after hire. Wage ranges from $17.00 to $18.50 per hour with benefits after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong English communication skills with the ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers.
• WHMIS Certification is required but can be obtained after hire.
• Food Safe Certification is required but can be obtained within 30 days of being hired.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots/pans, and cooking equipment is consistently available for kitchen and food service.
• Sort, stack, and load dirty dishware into dish racks in an organized manner to maximize machine capacity and reduce breakage.
• Operate dishwashing equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
• Unload dishware, distributing and storing in designated storage areas.
• Maintain ongoing communication with all departments affecting the kitchen.
• Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety is adhered to according to the restaurant’s standards.
• Ensure that the dishwashing area and equipment is always maintained at the highest level of cleanliness.
• Consistently conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner.
• Aid in maintaining department objectives and ensure they are met and exceeded.
• Perform other related ad-hoc duties as required.
