Job summary

CAMH is seeking a full-time Disability Claim Specialist to support occupational and non-occupational illness or injury cases in the Health, Safety & Wellness team. You will administer STD/LTD, absence management, and return-to-work programs, collaborating with insurers, HR partners, and leaders to ensure timely, equitable outcomes and compliant processes.

Strong clinical knowledge and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Kinesiology or allied health field.
• Progressive experience in absence disability claims management and return-to-work.
• Knowledge of WSIB policy interpretation and human rights legislation.
• Experience with disability management in a unionized environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop return-to-work plans.
• Manage disability claims lifecycle with accuracy and empathy.
• Prepare absence metrics and identify trends for leadership.
• Interpret medical information and translate restrictions into workplace solutions.
