Job summary

SFC Energy Ltd. in Calgary, AB is seeking a Director of Operations & Delivery to oversee production, logistics, inventory, project execution and engineering support while driving continuous improvement and delivery performance across the organization.

The ideal candidate holds a technical bachelor's degree, 5+ years in an operational leadership role, strong leadership and team development skills, ERP experience (SAP a plus), and a background in manufacturing or technology-driven industries.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a similar operational leadership role.
  • Lean/Six Sigma knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize all operational activities across production, logistics, inventory management, project execution, and engineering support functions.
  • Establish, monitor, and achieve KPIs related to operational efficiency, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Oversee full project execution from handover through delivery, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and within-scope results.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve workflows, productivity, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering/design, project management, logistics, and leadership teams.

We are looking for a Director of Operations & Delivery – Calgary, AB

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing operations, project execution, logistics, inventory management, and engineering support while driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and delivery performance across the organization.

What We Expect?
  • Bachelor’s degree with a technical background required.
  • 5+ years in a similar operational leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team development experience.
  • Background in manufacturing, operations, logistics, or industrial/technology-driven industries.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP is an asset).
  • Strong communication, planning, and decision‑making skills.
  • Lean / Six Sigma knowledge is an asset.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and optimize all operational activities across production, logistics, inventory management, project execution, and engineering support functions.
  • Establish, monitor, and achieve KPIs related to operational efficiency, quality, delivery performance, capacity planning, inventory control, and cost management.
  • Oversee full project execution from handover through delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, within scope, and to customer quality expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations and project delivery by identifying opportunities to improve workflows, productivity, technology utilization, and operational scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, engineering/design, project management, logistics, and leadership teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution across departments.
  • Develop and maintain operational structures, processes, procedures, and governance standards that support business growth and operational excellence.
  • Lead resource planning, scheduling, risk management, escalation management, and operational decision‑making to support business continuity and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, environmental regulations, health & safety requirements, and applicable legislation.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop departmental teams while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture.
