Job summary

SFC Energy Ltd. in Calgary is seeking a Panel Assembler for a 6-month contract position with potential for full-time employment. The role involves hands-on mechanical and electrical panel assembly, wiring, and documentation in a fast-paced production setting.

You will work with advanced technologies such as Variable Frequency Drives, SCADA/RTU systems, and SFC EFOY fuel cell systems, under supervision of the Production Team.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical and electrical panel assembly using dimensional drawings.
• Ability to use power tools to modify steel enclosures.
• Able to follow electrical schematics and wire schedules.
• Understanding of electrical safety standards and safe work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble quality integrated electrical equipment with the project team.
• Maintain production and assembly documentation.
• Inspect assemblies for compliance with drawings and customer requirements.
• Support quality control and testing during production.
• Build and integrate industrial control panels for various applications.
• Work with technologies including VFDs, SCADA/RTU, and SFC EFOY fuel cell systems.

What We Expect?

• We expect you to have experience in both Mechanical and Electrical Panel Assembly, including knowledge of installing and securing equipment based on dimensional drawings.
• Knowledge of the use of power tools (drills, chop saws, jigsaws, knockout cutters) used for modifying steel enclosures is considered an asset.
• Aptitude for following electrical schematics and wire schedules to route, tag, and terminate interconnection points for power/control wiring will help with your seamless integration into this role.
• Understanding of electrical safety standards and safe work procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Working within the project team to assemble quality integrated electrical equipment for our customer base.
• Maintain accurate production and assembly documentation.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with drawings and customer requirements.
• Support quality control and testing activities during production.
• Building and integrating industrial control panels for various applications.
