Job summary

The Blood Tribe Department of Health seeks a Director of Recovery Services to lead an integrated continuum of addiction and recovery services. The role provides strategic leadership for Bringing the Spirit Home and BTIRC, ensuring coordinated recovery care from withdrawal management to reintegration.

This full-time, on-site position focuses on strengthening care continuity, workforce development, performance, and culturally responsive practice within a trauma-informed framework on the Blood

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Indigenous Health or related discipline is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience within addiction and recovery or related health services.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of management or senior leadership experience with responsibility for programs, people, budgets, and organizational performance.
• Minimum of 2 years of sobriety from drugs or alcohol.
• Experience overseeing complex programs, teams, budgets, policy, quality improvement and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for BTSH and BTIRC as a coordinated continuum of recovery care.
• Strengthen integration, continuity of care and service quality across programs.
• Lead workforce development, governance, and organizational performance.
• Oversee budgets, risk and compliance; advance trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation and future service development.
