Job summary

The Calgary Drop-In Centre (the DI) is seeking a Health & Recovery Supervisor to lead frontline operations within Health & Recovery Services. This leadership role focuses on guiding patient flow, coordinating staffing, and delivering high-quality, client-centered care across episodic medical services and recovery programs.

You will mentor teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and recovery-oriented practices in a complex, high-demand

Qualifications

• Accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) or Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) program completed.
• Registration with CLHA/ACoP in Alberta.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum five years in related fields, preferably addictions, mental health, and recovery services.
• Leadership, mentorship, and performance coaching experience.
• Strong documentation, QA, and risk management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline operations across Health & Recovery Services programs, guiding client flow from admission to discharge.
• Coordinate staffing and resources, respond to incidents, and support teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Mentor frontline teams and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance development, and employee relations.
• Drive clinical documentation standards, safety, infection prevention, and risk management.
• Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and trauma-informed care in complex situations.
• Identify trends and partner on strategic initiatives to improve program effectiveness.
