Job summary

Blood Tribe Department of Health Inc. invites applications for a Clinical Team Coordinator in STANDOFF, AB.

Under the supervision of the Manager of Addiction and Mental Health, you will conduct the initial assessment for clients seeking help with substance use or mental health concerns and provide referrals to appropriate services. You will organize and facilitate the weekly Day Treatment Program, ensuring culturally informed practices, privacy, and compassionate support for clients and families

Qualifications

Strong computer literacy and ability to use processing packages and e-mail systems.
Crisis intervention, anger diffusion, conflict intervention and resolution skills.
Knowledge of Mental Health Act and Child and Family Services Act, ethics and professional conduct.
Knowledge of Blackfoot culture, language and traditions; Indigenous community experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to assist clients and families with confidentiality and empathetic communication.

Responsibilities

Perform first initial assessments for individuals seeking help with substance use or mental health concerns.
Provide referrals to appropriate service providers and programs.
Organize and facilitate weekly Day Treatment Program.
