A leading financial institution in Mississauga seeks a dedicated professional for a critical financial role, focusing on reporting, compliance, and management. Ideal candidates have 7-10 years of experience in financial reporting with strong reinsurance industry knowledge. What is the opportunity?
This is a multi-disciplinary financial position that has leadership and accountability for financial reporting (both management and external), controls, compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) financial oversight, cash and foreign exchange monitoring and management, payment approvals, collateral and liquidity management, planning and forecasting, oversight of investments and capital management.
This role also has interaction with internal audit, external audit, rating agencies (AM Best and Standard & Poors), regulators and insurance counterparties and includes participation in a number of management committees (Investment Committee and Board meetings). The controller is an officer of Royal Bank of Canada Insurance Company Ltd. - Cayman (RBCICL) and also involves financial oversight for RBC (Barbados) Services Company Ltd.
