Job summary

InnPower is seeking a Director, Stations, Planning and Asset Optimization to provide strategic leadership for station assets, system planning, and asset optimization across the utility. The role oversees capital planning, grid modernization, and risk management to ensure safe, reliable electricity delivery and regulated compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, in good standing.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience in protection, control and industrial communications.
• Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role in technical and commercial functions.
• Master's degree or MBA is considered an asset.
• Ontario Class 'G' driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-level leadership for station development, planning, operations, and asset optimization to deliver safe, reliable electricity at cost efficiency.
• Direct the development and prioritization of multi-year capital plans for stations, system expansion, modernization, and asset renewal.
• Lead strategic direction for grid modernization, smart grid initiatives, SCADA, GIS, analytics, and emerging technologies.
• Oversee governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance across infrastructure activities and external reporting.
• Engage with Ontario Energy Board, IESO, municipalities, Indigenous communities, and other stakeholders on regulatory filings and reliability reporting.
• Lead and develop management teams, drive succession planning, and foster accountability and teamwork.
• Oversee capital and operating budgets and advise Board on infrastructure investment and system performance.
