Job summary

Hydro Ottawa seeks a Smart Grid Engineer to modernize and optimize OT systems across SCADA, ADMS, OMS, and GIS. You will drive data analytics initiatives and architect scalable interfaces, partnering with Digital Transformation and Distribution divisions to deliver data-backed solutions.

You will lead technology roadmaps, support project planning and budgeting, and provide strategic technical direction for OT deployments, with a focus on grid reliability and asset optimization.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level engineering with professional licensure in Ontario or eligibility.
Experience gathering requirements and coordinating with clients and vendors.
Enterprise architecture, interface design, and data management system exposure.

Responsibilities

Oversee and optimize OT applications (SCADA, ADMS, OMS, GIS).
Architect and secure scalable IT/OT infrastructure and interfaces.
Manage OT data platforms and ensure data integrity and performance.
Develop analytics using PI, Snowflake, AI/ML to improve grid performance.
Automate workflows and document technical processes for the department.
Provide strategic direction for OT deployments and vendor evaluations.
