Job summary

PowerLines seeks a Deputy Director to lead and manage its Grid Scale Energy Programs Division. You will guide the advanced nuclear team, shape policy and program development, and coordinate with Commissioners and other policymakers to advance decarbonization of the grid.

The role requires strong managerial and leadership abilities, with a focus on delivering cohesive policy and program elements aligned with state law and strategic energy goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• 5–10 years of experience in clean energy/environment/utility/sustainability preferred.
• Strong project management and leadership skills are required.
• Excellent communication, problem analysis, and sound judgment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in day-to-day operations of the Division of Clean Energy.
• Oversee implementation of the advanced nuclear program.
• Coordinate with Deputy Directors and the Director; advise Commissioners and policymakers.
• Represent the BPU at local, regional, and national conferences.
• Manage budgets and contracts for the advanced nuclear initiatives.
