This position is based in the Toronto area and will support Canada virtually.

Role Overview:

The Digital Sales & Technical Support Specialist plays a vital role in Carl Zeiss Canada Limited by driving digital sales growth, delivering impactful software demonstrations, and providing advanced technical support for eyecare digital solutions. Responsibilities include engaging stakeholders, refining product rollout strategies, and enhancing user experience through tailored presentations that highlight ROI, clinical benefits, and workflow integration. The role also involves building relationships with key opinion leaders, supporting digital workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive sales and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support sales of ZEISS Digital Solutions by assisting regional teams and sales directors.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical insights to customers.
  • Assist in expanding digital service contracts and digital platform rollouts (Health Data Platform, Veracity, EYECO, Forum).
  • Gather market insights and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Assist in developing and delivering training programs for products and customers.
  • Monitor customer feedback and report issues for product improvement.
  • Document and escalate complex technical issues.
  • Install, configure, and deploy digital products at client sites.
  • Understand customer needs to ensure proper product integration.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues in collaboration with IT teams.
  • Support product launches and marketing efforts.
  • Provide insights to shape future product development.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Computer Science, Healthcare Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in digital sales, technical consulting, or enterprise support, preferably in healthcare or medical devices.
  • Strong knowledge of medical software, EMR/EHR systems, healthcare platforms, and compliance. Experience with ophthalmology or optometry software is a plus.
  • Understanding of networking, IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, and PACS systems; API and data interoperability experience is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to analyze customer needs and implement solutions to improve adoption and satisfaction.
  • Experience in consultative selling, software demos, and digital adoption strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging senior decision-makers and leading training sessions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, with a focus on customer success.
