Job summary

Momentum Developmental Support is seeking a Developmental Support Worker to join our Corner Brook team. You will work with adults to promote safe, healthy lifestyles and support independence through recreation, learning, physical fitness, and money management within individualized programs.

A Highschool Diploma is required; post-secondary education in a relevant field is an asset. A valid driver’s license and immunization records, TB test, background checks (record of conduct, vulnerable sector)

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma; post-secondary in a relevant field asset.
• Experience in a support role for adults with ID/DD or mental health is asset.
• Driver's license required; medical immunization, TB test, background check, and First Aid CPR Level C.

Responsibilities

• Help clients maintain safe and healthy lifestyles.
• Promote independence through individualized recreation, learning, fitness and money management activities.
• Be part of Momentum Community team and support daily activities.

What you'll bring?

Highschool Diploma (post-secondary education in a relevant field is considered an asset). Experience working in a support role with adults, preferably adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders is considered an asset. A driver's license is required as well as a Medical report, including immunization record and Tuberculosis skin test report, Record of conduct and a vulnerable sector check, Emergency First Aid AED/CPR Level C.
