Momentum Developmental Support is hiring a Developmental Support Worker to join the Momentum Community. You will work with adults to promote independence and well-being through programs in recreation, learning, fitness and money management.
This unionized position emphasizes teamwork and client-centered care. The role requires a Highschool Diploma, a valid driver's license, and a medical/immunization records packet including a TB test and a vulnerable sector check.
Momentum Developmental Support began as a residential-care system for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Our team quickly learned these vibrant, complex people didn't just need housing and supervision. Rather, they needed a team who understood their abilities and mental health experiences. So we adapted, to meet our clients where they are and focus on enhancing futures.
As a Developmental Support Worker, you are a part of the Momentum Community. Working with clients to maintain safe and healthy lifestyles, you promote independence based on individual programming through recreational, learning, physical fitness, and money management activities. A Highschool Diploma (post-secondary education in a relevant field is considered an asset). Experience working in a support role with adults, preferably adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders is considered an asset A driver's license is required as well as a Medical report, including immunization record and Tuberculosis skin test report, Record of conduct and a vulnerable sector check, Emergency First Aid AED/CPR Level C
