Job summary

Momentum Developmental Support in Whitbourne is hiring a Developmental Support Worker for casual shifts. You’ll work with adults in a supportive team, helping them maintain safe, healthy lifestyles and build independence.

You’ll promote activities across recreation, learning, fitness and money management, with a focus on dignity and person-centered care. A driver's license and immunization records are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; post-secondary education in related field considered an asset.
• Experience in support roles with adults with IDD and/or mental health challenges is an asset.
• A valid driver’s license and medical immunization records are required, along with a vulnerable sector check.

Working with clients to maintain safe and healthy lifestyles, you promote independence based on individual programming through recreational, learning, physical fitness, and money management activities. What you'll bring?

A Highschool Diploma (post-secondary education in a relevant field is considered an asset). Experience working in a support role with adults, preferably adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders is considered an asset A driver's license is required as well as a Medical report, including immunization record and Tuberculosis skin test report, Record of conduct and a vulnerable sector check, Emergency First Aid AED/CPR Level C

Compensation is $19.08 per hour as per the collective agreement
