Job summary

Infotek Consulting Inc. is seeking a Desktop Engineer for a two-phase role focused on patch compliance and PowerShell automation. You will help keep the bank’s Windows fleet patched, compliant, and secure while building automation to prevent recurrence.

The role emphasizes diagnosing compliance issues, implementing automation, and collaborating with endpoint management and helpdesk teams. A background in enterprise environments and strong scripting skills are essential.

Qualifications

6+ years in desktop support or engineering with a focus on patch management and compliance.
Strong Windows 11 knowledge: OS configuration, patching, and driver management.
Hands-on PowerShell scripting for automation and maintenance.
Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune or SCCM/MECM.
Familiarity with patch management and automation tools.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve compliance issues across OS patching, Office patching, driver updates, and system configurations.
Find root causes of non-compliance, document findings, and drive corrective actions to closure.
Write, test, and deploy PowerShell automation to proactively fix recurring issues across the fleet.
Partner with endpoint management and helpdesk teams to roll out patches with minimal user disruption.
Support Windows 11 upgrades and configurations to meet compliance standards.
Own select enterprise applications, including vendor engagement and reviewing new releases for impact.
Handle escalated patching, driver, and compliance issues, and keep end users informed.
