Job summary

SRS Building Products in Langford, BC is seeking a Delivery Helper to assist with safe transport and placement of building materials on customer sites. You will work with the team Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3pm, helping ensure on‑time deliveries and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include delivering materials, communicating professionally on job sites, coordinating with dispatch, preparing trucks, and following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
• Ability to perform basic math and measurements on site.
• Valid driver’s license is preferred; a clean driving abstract is an asset.

Job description

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual for the position of Delivery Helper. The Delivery Helper assists with the safe transportation of building materials and the placement on customer job sites. Together with other team members, the Helper works to exceed customer expectations. The shifts are Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm. The wage range for this position is $22 - $25 per hour, plus up to $3 per unit delivery bonus.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and other trades on job sites.
• Deliver materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety, service, and efficiency.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.
• Report all accidents or injuries.
• Verify load security and accuracy.
• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.
• Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Basic Requirements

• A valid driver’s license with a cleandriver's abstractis an asset.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tool skills.
• Completion of high school preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
• Sitting for long periods.
• Frequently climbing up and downstairs.
• Pulling, pushing, bending, and torso twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site.
