SRS Distribution is hiring a Delivery Helper in Victoria, BC. You will assist in the safe transport and placement of building materials at customer job sites, working with a team to exceed customer expectations.

You will communicate professionally with customers and trades, prioritize safety, and help with dispatch coordination, loading/unloading, and accident reporting. This full‑time role includes health benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Basic math knowledge.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Completion of high school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to designated areas with safety in mind.
• Communicate professionally with customers and trades on site.
• Ensure timely delivery and proper load security.
• Coordinate with dispatch to resolve issues.
• Prepare trucks and assist warehouse staff as needed.
• Report accidents or injuries and follow company policies.

Job description

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual for the position of Delivery Helper. The Delivery Helper assists with the safe transportation of building materials and the placement on customer job sites. Together with other team members, the Helper works to exceed customer expectations. The shifts are Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm and the wage range is $22-$25 per hour plus piecework.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and other trades on job sites.
• Deliver materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety, service, and efficiency.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.
• Report all accidents or injuries.
• Verify load security and accuracy.
• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.
• Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Basic Requirements

• A valid driver’s license with a cleandriver's abstractis an asset.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tool skills.
• Completion of high school preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
• Sitting for long periods.
• Frequently climbing up and downstairs.
• Pulling, pushing, bending, and torso twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site.
