Job summary

CaptivateIQ, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Engineering leader to advance CI/CD, testing, and developer experience across our fast-growing SaaS platform.

You will guide a distributed team located on the East Coast or Toronto and partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to raise product health and reliability. The role emphasizes architectural guardrails, strong coaching, and a culture of high trust and async collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Engineering Manager or people management role (M-level).
• Contribute to the software lifecycle to improve broader engineering impact.
• Deep expertise in software quality, QA, or SDET practices.
• Responsible for health of CI/CD pipelines at a mid-sized SaaS company using GitHub/GitHub Actions.
• Extensive software development experience with focus on quality and testability.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, React, Python, and Django.
• Experience with modern testing methodologies for a large B2B SaaS product.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to navigate tough conversations.
• Growth mindset with ownership and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and grow a distributed team of Engineers with high trust.
• Invest in developer experience to improve the software lifecycle.
• Coach teams on testing strategies to uplift software quality.
• Provide technical direction and guardrails for test automation and pipelines.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to align roadmaps and long-term reliability.
• Develop engineering talent through coaching and performance management.
• Own end-to-end delivery of the DE team's portfolio at scale.
• Advocate for engineering best practices and async collaboration across stakeholders.
